Upon buying a gift certificate, you will be immediately sent an email confirmation of your order. Then, within a few days (usually the Tuesday or Friday after you place your order) you will receive another email that your order has "shipped". In this email, you will be provided with a code that your gift recipient can use to pay for goods at the Risc Store (at checkout)

When using a Gift Certificate to pay:

If your order total is less than the amount of the Gift Certificate, the difference will carry over towards your next purchase (via your code)

If your order total is more than the amount of the Gift Certificate, you will be prompted to cover the difference with a credit card.
